I’ve had so many emails asking me what I feel a good “start out workout” would be. Well, as much as I want to give an answer, it all depends on you! What do YOU want out of your workout? Where do you want to be in six months? What are your strengths? Weaknesses? I tell all of my followers, if you really want to meet your goals, you have to WORK for them. It’s not about starting something for a week, then taking two days off to eat whatever you want. You have to have discipline, and in your mind, you have to want to meet those goals. I work out everyday. I do not take a day off, and believe it or not, I allow myself one treat a week. It can be a dessert or a favorite meal. I feel if you work all week for something, taking a day or two off will just ruin your hard work. I take clients who need nutrition plans made out, as well as fitness strategies that fit their needs. I had to share another amazing Essie color with you. This color is a cross between a red and burgundy, and would look awesome with a black outfit and a pop of red lip color. I first saw this color in Chicago when the salesperson at Henri Bendel was wearing it. Ever since then, it has become one of my favorite colors of all time. Every Tuesday, I try to focus on beauty because so many of us love hearing about each other’s beauty routines. Today, I want to give you some great ways to healthier skin. Everyone wants gorgeous skin with makeup on and off. As we age, our skin changes. If we follow certain steps with diet and exercise, we can age with gorgeous skin. Here are some great ways to healthier more beautiful skin.
1. HYDRATION IS KEY. Drinking lots of water daily keeps our skin subtle and hydrated. I can always tell when someone lacks water in their diet. Their skin is dry. Water in the diet can come from water based soups, as well as water filled fruits, such as watermelon.
2. GOOD FATS THAT FIGHT INFLAMMATION. Eating nuts and seeds and using good quality oils will help your body fight inflammation, which will show through your skin. Olive oil is great to use, and so is coconut oil. Avocados and cold water fish, such as salmon are both excellent sources with good omega 3 fatty acids.
3. VITAMIN A REPAIRS DAMAGED SKIN. Eating beta carotene in bright colored vegetables helps repair damaged skin. Try to eat these bright colored veggies everyday.
4. B COMPLEX VITAMINS HELP SKIN DRYNESS. Eggs and leafy greens help skin dryness. They are full of B-12 vitamins, and help with annoying flakiness.
Adding these foods to your everyday diet will get yourself on the track to clear and beautiful skin!
