Self Tan… Yay or Nay?

We’ve all heard how horrible the sun is for our skin. It’s dangerous and it accelerates the aging process. I can’t believe that people still lay in tanning beds or in the sun and scorch their bodies to get a tan! Gross. It kind of makes me ill to know what they are actually doing to their skin.

My husband and I use to own a skin laser company, and I can’t believe what I learned about skin damage. Since then, I have been protecting my skin in more ways than one. I use the highest SPF known to mankind, and I insist my kids wear it too. I am of Greek decent, so I tend to get brown either way (which I guess that’s a plus for me).

Lately, I’ve seen all these self tanners out on the market. Some even include tan wipes. I have tried them, and no! They leave an orange residue on your hands, and it just doesn’t look natural.

Tan Physics has been in the news lately claiming to give your skin that perfect glow. Well, I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s definitely on my list. The one thing that I have tried, and actually really like, is the spray tan salons. The dozen times I’ve used them, I’ve been very happy, and I don’t leave there with orange hands, and my bed sheets actually stay white.

I’m going to stick with the spray tan salons, and stay out of the harsh sun. Do you have a favorite self-tan product? We would love to hear about it!

St. Tropez is my favorite self tanner. I still can’t believe people are so careless when it comes to sun exposure too!
