Make Sure to Move Everyday!

Exercise is so important, especially as we get older. These days it’s so vital for kids to have plenty of exercise because of high obesity rates that keeps climbing. Too much video game playing, too much technology like cell phones, iPods, etc, and just spending too much time on social media sites are factors contributing to childhood obesity. There are many people that go days, weeks, months , even years without any exercise whatsoever, and they wake up one day wondering what had happened? That’s the point where it gets too hard to take off weight… Moving everyday in some way shape or form is important to keep our bodies strong, and maintaining healthy bones, and eating correctly to have  good health. If we don’t take care of ourselves in the process of aging, it causes us to run into a multitude of health problems. I know so many people who have died way too young simply by not taking better care of themselves! YOU ARE IMPORTANT, AND YOU GET ONE LIFE! Take charge now! Each day that goes by, our life gets shorter, and it’s crucial that we get up and go for that run, or go try that yoga class, or get rid of those nasty meals you’ve been eating. Just go for a walk! Get your heart pumping, your mind wandering, and your blood circulating. Days get shorter, as well as the years. You wouldn’t just be adding years to your life, you would be adding life to your years… By simply enjoying movement!

Wine… Before Bed Snack?? 

Hi ladies!

I recently came upon some news that researchers have tried saying that drinking a half of bottle of wine before bed helps weight loss. Ummm… I’m not quite understanding how they came up with that! I absolutely love wine… Everything about it. Origins, taste, what it pairs with, and so forth. Wine has a great amount of health benefits such as reservatol which helps repair free radical damage. I do pick wine as my drink choice simply because I love the taste. But I’m not buying the fact that wine before bed could help with weight loss. I know that picking a glass over a bowl of ice cream or a chocolate bar would be more ideal, but wine can carry a lot of sugar in one glass. I try to stay away from the whites as much as possible because they tend to have a lot more sugar than reds. I’m sure all of you keep up on health news, but I really don’t believe how drinking wine before bed could aid in weight loss. Further more, it’s not a very healthy way to live drinking that much wine before sleeping. Yes a glass can unwind and help in aid relaxation, but drinking too much wine can interfere with a good night’s sleep. If any of you are trying to help yourself get to a healthier weight or a healthier way of life, keep drinking your green drinks, water, take supplements, and keep your glass of wine for dinner time!

Molton Brown Bliss

Hi ladies!

I did a post on Instagram a while back on Molton Brown lotions, and I’ve had a few emails asking to elaborate on the brand and the products. I have loved this brand ever since I used it in a Chicago hotel long ago. I have since been buying it for myself and my daughter. We absolutely can’t get enough of the scents! The black pepper scent made by Molton Brown is amazing, and when you use their body washes, you can smell the scents on you all day. Molton Brown has been around for a long time, and I can see why. Molton Brown was actually started as a hair salon back in the 1970’s. They founded their name from South Molten Street where the first store was started, and Brown was the last name of the founder’s parents. It is seriously my top bath products and I rarely use anything else. I’ve tried multiple brands, and nothing yet has topped Molton Brown. In the 1990’s was when Molton Brown started a supply division where they started supplying 5 star hotels with their products. I’m so glad when I found it in ’07 at the Conrad Chicago!! It’s blissful in my world!
