Preparation for your Fruit & Veggies! 

Hey ladies!

Hope you’re having a great Thursday! Do you all like to eat fruits and veggies daily, but feel like you are too busy to prepare them? Well, the best bet for that dilemma is buying all your fresh fruits and veggies for the week and taking time Sunday night to cut and dice them up. It saves so much time during the week! My family goes through so many fruits and vegetables, that by mid-week I’m making another trip to the store for more. I just make sure I take the time to prepare, because when my kids want to make a smoothie, the last thing they want to do is cut up what they want to use. I actually enjoy preparing my produce for the week!

    Although this is a wonderful idea that saves a lot of time, I am curious to know if you struggle with your fruits going bad more quickly since you prepare them ahead of time? Do you do anything special to ensure they stay fresh? I make smoothies multiple times a week and would love to take them to work for breakfast, but like you mentioned, cutting and preparing the fruit at 6am is not exactly something I look forward to! 🙂

      Well I usually prepare my fruit Sunday night and it stays pretty fresh through Tuesday / Wednesday then it seems I’m low on them again so I make another trip to the store. We go through fruit and veggies quickly even before they could bad. Lol! If it’s just you , I say the night before if you are planning a fruit salad.

    It’s so important to have fruits and veggies prepped! They easier they are to grab and enjoy, the more likely you are to eat them more often. I always have pre-washed grapes in my fridge for a quick, healthy snack!

      Yes I love grapes, and frozen grapes are amazing too!!
