You know how much I love eye palettes because of the simplicity of them. When you travel, there is only one eye product you need to take with a multiple of colors. The cargo eye palette is one I wanted to try due to the colors in the vintage escape palette. The colors are so perfect for that hazel/ brown eye color. They have a selection from creams to dark Browns with hints of gray colors in them. I thought I’d try it out, and I have to say I really do love it. The eye colors go on very smooth, and have a lasting time when you apply it after a eye primer. The vintage escape even has a color withered leaves that look gorgeous on hazel eyes. It has a tint of olive in it. Cargo cosmetics is a great brand with a great price point. If you aren’t up to spending the fifty plus dollars on the amazing urban decay palettes, you may want to try this. I really feel that you all would love it, and cargo sells other eye palettes as well, coordinating with different eye colors!
This world is so chaotic at times, that I’m sure it seems hard to have relaxation time or “me time”. With all the things we need to do in a day, it sometimes seems right down impossible. We need it, and we need to make time for it. If you are a yogi of some sort, and love to head to your yoga classes for some Namaste, that’s great. Cutting out just an hour a day shows that it can improve our overall well being. Taking time to go to an art class or pottery class with your child can be very relaxing, but just getting personal , valuable time is important also. Relaxation does wonders for our body, mind, and spirit. It lowers stress levels because relaxation brings out mind to a balanced calm state. We no longer are thinking of the things we need to get accomplished. When you cut out relaxation time each day, it gives our minds a break of the constant chatter going on. Relaxation also helps us to sleep better. Relaxation rituals fifteen minutes before our sleep time helps with sleep deprivation. Your mood and memory will improve. Having no relaxation time in your life causes burn out, and burn out will demolish every last ounce of energy in your body and can deplete your immune system. Studies show that people who take less time for themselves get sick more often, and have more sleep insomnia than those that do take time. Your memory is more clear, and you can think more clearly. Stress puts so much emphasis on our hearts, and when it does that, we will get sick more often. Remember to always take time for yourself. If you have young children, get a sitter for an hour, and go do something that you love. You truly need it, and it’s so much better in the long run!
I hope everyone’s morning is off to a fantastic start. We all know how important it is to get your workout in, and get your heart pumping. Well I feel people really doesn’t know the importance of cooling down after their workout. I’ve been at the gym multiple times to see a woman get off an elliptical , and then stopping and jumping off and heading home. It’s great she got her workout in, but cooling down is just as important to stay healthy. One of the most important aspects of a proper cool down is to prevent yourself from getting dizzy. Strenuous exercise causes your blood vessels to expand, which in turn causes blood to go to the lower legs and feet. When you stop exercising , that blood can sit in the legs causing your heart rate to drop and cause dizziness. If you are on a machine such as the treadmill, or the elliptical, and you get your heart rate up to a certain level, once you are done, slow the speed up and walk for five to ten minutes. If you are at a class, try cooling down with some light stretching. Light yoga is great. Make sure to hydrate well during your exercises too. Cooling down is just as important as the workout itself.
