Happy Friday! I have been a tea drinker it seems like forever. I love all kinds of tea, whether its hot tea, or the ice cold tea that seems so refreshing on those hot summer days, minus the sweeteners, because I can’t stand anything sweet in my drinks. My favorite is hot green tea with mint. I try to drink atleast three cups daily, due to the health benefits it provides, but also because I love the taste. Tea has been around for centuries, and with all the news that tells of its health benefits, it is a widely popular drink these days. I see Green tea in just about everything. I’m not quite thinking that you can get the same health benefits from a green tea cookie, as well as you can from a cup of tea. Green Tea has shown to provide many health benefits . It improves blood flow , and helps lower cholesterol. People who drink Green Tea shows a greater activity in the brain. They can focus better, and think better altogether. Green Tea also aids healthy cells during growth. Tea has been known forever to be the best aid in relaxation , and calming the mind, due to the calming effect that it provides. it has been shown to help people drop a few pounds , due to the active ingredient EGCG. I am not saying you should run out and buy those “green tea diet pills”, because I do not believe in that stuff. If it does provide in aiding weight loss, I would drink the real kind. Green Tea also has so many antioxidants that our body loves. We all know that antioxidants help with keeping us healthy, and our immune systems up. I know there are many people that can’t stand the taste of hot tea, and that’s ok. You can get the same benefits from Green tea on ice. Green Tea also taste great with lemon juice in it, or honey. you can always add some great things to your tea to give it a twist. I love mint, so that’s usually what I have in mine.
