I haven’t made it a secret how much I love wine, particularly red wine. I love everything about it, including its origins, and the types of foods that go best with certain wines. I have an array of wine books in my cellar, and I cant get enough of them. Well I as much as I love the taste of red wine, I absolutely love the benefits that come along with it. I am not saying that you need to drink multiple glasses daily. Red Wine comes with so many health benefits, and one huge one that plays a role in our health is a substance in red wine called Reservatol. It is known to be a key ingredient to keeping our heart healthy, and prevent the damage that can be done to our blood vessels, and is shown to lower our cholesterol. It has been known to help protect against obesity ( which by the way is on the rise), and diabetes. They have only found those findings on mice.It has been shown that reservatol can reduce risk of inflammation, and help prevent blood clots. Now even though these reports have only been found in mice, doctors agree that there is something in red wine that is shown to help the heart. In the Mediterranean diet, red wine is part of that. People in the Mediterranean have been known to drink wine for many years, and has been shown to help in the onsight of many heart ailments. Antioxidants in red wine may help with the linings of the heart, and help protect against heart disease. It has also been found that researchers discovered the benefits from red wine to help in weight loss. It has been found that the acids inside of grapes has the power to delay the fat cells from growing. The next time you are out, and feel the need to grab that glass of wine, toast a glass to your health.
