Happy hump day!
We all know how important it is to eat a healthy breakfast, and it’s basically in my book the most important meal of the day. For a number of reasons it is good to pick breakfasts that are full of vitamins, fiber and minerals. A good hardy breakfast will prevent you from getting hungry through the day, and will actually cut down any type of snacking. In my personal efforts for heart health, I really wish certain brands would take out their sugar filled, preservative laden cereals, because they have no health protection except certain ones, which those certain ones can not be bought at any grocery store. A good fiber filled oatmeal, made of steel cut oats with some added cinnamon is delicious, and provides you with a good amount of fiber to start off your day. A really great breakfast I love is a whole grain toast topped with fresh avocado with a little pepper on it with a side of fresh fruit. Anything white that is considered a breakfast food, is NOT healthy. In my own opinion, staying away from anything white is the best thing you can do for your health. There are many ways to add in fresh fruits and vegetables to your morning start, and it will be healthy and wholesome for your health. If you have been trying to start a healthy lifestyle, try starting with your breakfast. That healthy start up will get you on the right path to a healthy lifestyle.
