I am loving all the sparkles, and gold this season. Your seeing it everywhere from shoes, to clutches, to the super cute gold sequin dresses. It puts you that much more into the holiday spirit, don’t you think? One look that has really caught my eye this season, is the brush of gold eye shadow , and would look great on anyone for their holiday party.
It can be really tricky using a sparkly color on the eye, versus your everyday nude colors. You will not get a natural look with this color, so if you are going for something more bland, then this color may not be for you. The trick to using a gold shadow is not over doing it. It does not take a lot, for this color to go a long way. charlotte tilbury has wonderful metallic, sparkling shadows that will stay on for hours without creasing. The proper usage before applying these type of shadows is to use a good primer before hand, such as urban decay primer, which is really one of my favorites. The ultimate goal of a primer is to condition the eye, so that the shadows do not crease , and the shadows stay on for multiple of hours. Its like any other conditioner.
Make sure to always use the proper eyeshadow brush, so that you can shake off any excess shadow, and it doesn’t end up on your cheeks. You would not like going out with gold glitter all over your face. I’m sure it has all happened to us atleast once. Try a new look this season. Its a gorgeous one!
