You will be opening your windows, and hopefully planting lots of gorgeous flowers. I love the feeling of Spring. The windows open in the morning with the sound of the birds chirping. It juts sets up your morning just perfectly. I do many things to get my home ready, and I want to share with you some great tips on getting your home ready for Spring .
-Clear out old foliage from the flower beds. Get rid of the old and bring the new in. No one wants to see the old , dead foliage. You have to make that space organized and getting everything ready to start growing and looking plush again. I try to replace certain plants each year just for a change of scenery. I like adding pops of color.
-De clutter your home. Start with your closets. Do a closet purge and get rid of anything that you haven’t worn in the last year, or go through twice and see if you really want to keep it. There are many ways to donate your belongings, or give to people in need. That always makes you feel good. There are also great consignment shops that will sell your items and give you the majority of the sale. move to all the places in your home that tend to clutter easily, such as the pantry. Organize your pantry and get rid of all the boxes. Replace them with nice glass jars with cute labels on them. Believe me, it looks so much nicer. Once those are done, hit up every cabinet and just throw stuff out that is old or you no longer use. There is a huge lift that feels so great when your organized.
-Get your carpets professionally cleaned. All winter people have been walking on your carpets and floors. Start the Spring off right by getting them freshened up, including your rugs.
-Check and replace your air conditioning filters. I’m sure that most aren’t the cleanest when Spring comes around. Make sure those are new and replaced. Everything works more efficiently.
-Clean your curtains, baseboards, and mattresses. This will get rid of all the dust that has accumulated, and be freshened up. Dust accumulates very easy, so getting these clean will reduce the amount of dust.
