The Best Way To Keep Energy Levels Up All Day

Summer is finally here and that means late summer nights and lots of fun. One thing that can really make you crave your bed earlier is tiring out early. Energy Levels can fluctuate up and down if you are not taking care of yourself the way you should be. If you are eating lots of sugar or drinking way too many cocktails, that can really make your energy levels linger day to day. I have a few tips on how to keep those energy levels up throughout the BEST season of the year.

I can’t tell you how much hydration helps with energy levels. I can always tell when I need more water. I start to hit that late afternoon rock. I try to keep water with me all day and drink all day. I even add fruit to it so it doesn’t seem so boring. Hydration is key to any healthy lifestyle. We lose so much water just through movement alone. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be working out to replace water. The best thing I do is make my water each morning before walking out the door. If you are busy in the mornings, make it the night before. It will be nice and chilled for you when you wake up.

Healthy Breakfast Option

I am not going to sit here and tell you that I eat breakfast every morning. I usually do a 16 hour intermittent fast. This keeps my energy levels up like no other, but that doesn’t always work for everybody. I recommend eating a light breakfast such as a healthy juice, or smoothie loaded with vitamins and antioxidants. I find that the heavier meal you eat first thing in the morning wears your energy levels down. Everyone is different so choose wisely. Avocado toast is always a great choice.

I find that exercising in the morning really helps my energy levels. I truly love fitness and I feel it’s key when wanting to live healthier and happier. I feel exercise helps keep energy levels stable all day long. If you are a yoga crazy like me, that is a great start to any morning. If you are a runner, try to hit your running in the morning. I feel that exercising in the late afternoon or evening really doesn’t help keep your energy up. It makes me want to go to bed. I try to avoid any exercise late at night, especially if I have a summer fling to go to or any plans made with friends.

I am the first to admit, I LOVE my wine. I really do. I just have really cut back on my cocktails. I feel at times, depending on the wine itself, that many make me feel tired early. A few have me tossing and turning at night. I don’t like not getting a good amount of sleep. I go hard through the days and I love my nights up in the summer. If I have wine, I hydrate well in between and cut back on the amount of glasses I allow myself. I actually love it. I do splurge on my vacations. Alcohol can wreak havoc on your sleep and health. Keep it balanced. You will feel so much better.

Summer is about having fun. We are avid travelers, but I love spending summer nights listening to music, hanging with my friends and family and eating amazing summer cuisine. Take care of your health and you will have loads of energy to make many more great Summer Memories.

4 Questions To Ask When Picking Workout Clothes

Wearing proper workout clothes is more important than people think. Good shoes are an absolute must because you need support, especially if you’re running. Compression clothes are good for improving performance and reducing muscle fatigue as well, so it’s always a good idea to invest in some. But choosing workout gear can be tough because there are a lot of choices out there and the price range is quite big. Workout clothes are often affected by fashion trends and it can be hard to know whether something will actually improve performance or if you’re just paying over the odds for brand names. If you haven’t got a clue where to start when you’re buying workout clothes, here are a few things to consider.

What Kind Of Exercise Are You Doing?

This is the first question you need to answer because different workouts require different gear. If you’re running or cycling, for example, you might want to go for something that is a little looser so you’ve got a good range of movement. But if you’re weight training, you might want something with a tighter fit. There are no hard and fast rules here and you need to pick something that is comfortable for you but it’s always important to consider the exercise that you’re doing and the range of movement that you’ll need. However, when it comes to picking shoes, you do need to specialize and find something that is designed for that particular activity.

How Good Is The Quality?

You can pay a lot of money for designer workout gear but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the quality is going to be better. Workout clothes are under a lot more strain than your normal clothes so it’s important that you buy stuff that is made by a good quality fitness clothing manufacturer so you don’t have to keep replacing it all of the time. Don’t be fooled by brand names and automatically assume that price means quality because that isn’t always the case. Instead, get a feel of the items and look at the stitching to see how sturdy they are.

What Fabric Are They Made From?

The fabric that your workout clothes are made from is so important. You want something that will draw sweat from your skin and then dry out very quickly. When you’re choosing normal clothes, something that is 100 percent cotton is great because it’s soft and comfortable, but cotton workout clothes are no good. It doesn’t dry out very quickly at all so you’ll be drenched after a hard workout. Instead, you want to look for clothes that are made with polyester, spandex, and lycra because these materials are all good at absorbing sweat and keeping you cool.

Do They Look Good?

When you’re picking workout clothes, functionality and comfort should always come first but you still want to look good. Don’t let the look of the clothes cloud your judgment and make you forget about all of the other important things, but you should find something that you like the look of so you feel comfortable wearing it.

If you consider all of these things, you’ll be able to get good quality workout clothes for a good price.

My Favorite Hydrating Oils For Great Summer Skin

Summer Is finally here, and that means Good Skincare. Hydrating Oils are a Must Have. We all know by now that the sun can do really harmful damage to your skin. It can dry it out, enhance wrinkles, and age you like no other. I am NOT going to sit here and tell you how harmful the sun is. I absolutely love traveling and soaking it up. I DO however take precautions when going out in the sun.

I recently just returned from Europe where the sun was a scorcher. I absolutely loved it, but I made sure every day to use a good SPF and a good hydrating oil in the morning and before bed. Hydrating oils give your skin hydration through out the day. When used in conjunction with a good SPF, you can’t go wrong. I have a list of my favorite hydrating oils that I use almost everyday.

I can’t tell you how much I love this oil. I first received this in a fabfitfun box last year and I was totally hooked. This oil is Infused with advanced Vitamin C, turmeric, evening primrose oil which all of these hydrate, brighten , and leave your skin glowing like no other. I would have to say this is my ultimate favorite.

This oil is pure radiance. This gives your skin balance. If you are suffering from any redness on your face, this oil is for you. It clarifies the skin, and gives it hydration throughout the day. It truly is magic. It is loaded up with great ingredients like Hemp, Pumpkin, grape seed oil, Algae extract, and Astaxanthin. These all work wonders for your skin. You can apply 2-10 drops to moist skin everyday followed by a good sunscreen.

BIOSSANCE OIL- This oil is Top notch. Its a pure bestseller. This instantly hydrates the skin while locking in moisture. It leaves your skin feeling as soft as a baby’s bottom. It also helps with any redness and irritation. One thing I love about this oil is how weightless it is. This is definitely a high performing oil. I feel any of you would have such success with this.

Hydrating oils are crucial to add to your daily regimen. We all lack vitamins everyday on your skin due to pollution, the environment, the sun, and much more. It’s great to add a bit more protection to your skin added along side your sunscreen. If you add a hydrating oil day and night, I promise you will see such a huge difference in your skin. It can be a bit overwhelming picking one that works well with your skin. You can always contact the maker and ask for a small sample. Enjoy the Skin your In!

How To Reduce Inflammation Naturally

If you ever find in your training that you are feeling sore, lethargic, in pain, or swollen, then it could be because there is some inflammation in your body. It is something that is really natural, especially if you have an injury. As has been said, inflammation is a natural process that does help your body to heal and to defend itself from harm. However, inflammation can be something that is so harmful if it keeps lasting and becomes chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation could last for weeks or perhaps even years, and if it is left and nothing is done to deal with it, then it could lead to several health problems. That being said, there are plenty of things that you can do to reduce inflammation in your body, and things that will help to improve your overall health. So if this sounds like you, or you want to know more for when you have injuries and your body will be naturally inflamed, then this is for you. Here are some steps to living an anti-inflammatory lifestyle and.

What Is Inflammation?

Inflammation, as has been mentioned briefly, is your body’s way of protecting itself from things like infection, injury or illness. As part of the response your body has, your body will increase the production of blood cells, immune cells, and substances that help to fight infection. If you’re not sure what inflammation will look like, then some signs to look out for are things like redness, pain, swelling, and even heat from certain areas of your body.

On the other hand, chronic inflammation, which is pretty long-term, is usually something that will happen inside of your body, so you might not actually spot any noticeable symptoms. This kind of inflammation can be the factor that drives illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, and perhaps even cancer. So it really is a good idea to make sure that your body isn’t inflamed, as it can help your overall health and long-term health. Chronic inflammation can be something that can also happen if you’re overweight, obese or under high levels of stress.

What Are The Causes?

As has been mentioned, there are some lifestyle factors that can lead to inflammation, especially factors that are a particular habit. This can be things like having a lot of sugar in your diet and refined foods, as these can be the most harmful to your body. Too much of these foods can lead to diabetes, insulin resistance which has similarities to diabetes, and obesity. There have also been studies that have found that having a lot of refined carbs, like white bread and cakes, can also be a factor, as they can be something that leads to diabetes, as well as obesity, which is why a low carb diet could be a good solution to help reduce inflammation. What’s more, if you eat processed and packaged foods that are full of trans fats, then they have been shown to promote inflammation too. Vegetable oils that are used in many processed foods could also be another culprit to avoid in your diet. If you drink quite a lot of alcohol on a regular basis, as well as processed meat, then that has also shown to have an impact. Being active is key to avoiding it too, as long as you don’t overdo it and lead to an injury.

Foods to Avoid

Some of the foods that you need to avoid have been mentioned, but here are a list of foods that are best to avoid if you want to reduce chronic inflammation, or your risk of chronic inflammation. They are best if they are only eaten sparingly, or perhaps even cut out completely.

  • Sugary drinks like fruit juices and fizzy pop drinks
  • Refined carbohydrates like white bread, pasta, and cakes
  • Desserts are generally off-limits because of their high sugar content, especially things like cookies, candy, and ice cream
  • Processed meats like hot dogs and sausages are best to avoid
  • Snack foods like chips and pretzels
  • There are certain oils to avoid in your cooking and in the foods that you eat, like processed vegetable oils such as corn oil
  • Drinking too much alcohol is best avoided in life in general, but especially for inflammation

Foods to Eat

It isn’t all doom and gloom, though, there are many things that you can eat and fill your life and diet with tasty and yummy food. These are all the best anti-inflammatory foods, so fill your diet with these:

  • Vegetables are a good thing in any diet, but especially in an anti-inflammatory diet. Some of the best vegetables are broccoli, kale, cabbage, and cauliflower
  • Fruit, again, is a great thing to have in your diet. But not all fruit is created equal. The best options for fruit are berries, including grapes and cherries
  • High-fat fruits like avocado and olives are great to have too, in certain portion sizes
  • Olive oil and coconut oil are the best oils to have in your diet
  • Fish like salmon, anchovies, sardines, and mackerel are great to get your omega-3 fatty acids into your diet
  • Nuts are such a good source of natural healthy fat, as well as being packed full of vitamins and minerals. Just make sure they aren’t the salted or processed kind
  • We all want something sweet from time to time, which is where chocolate comes in. Dark chocolate is the best to have if you want anti-inflammatory food
  • If you like to have a tipple that is more than water from time to time, then green tea is a great healthy option for a warm drink. If you want to have an alcoholic drink as well, then red wine is the best option (just make sure you only have a small glass at a time)
  • Spicing up your food is a good idea with things like chilli, as well as using things like tumeric and cinnamon

Chronic inflammation really is an unhealthy thing for your body, and can lead to even worse diseases. In many instances, the diet and lifestyle that you have can drive the inflammation or can even make it worse. If you aim for an anti-inflammatory diet, then it can really help with your optimal health and overall wellbeing, making sure that you are as healthy as possible.
