The Best Super Foods To Add To your Daily Diet

It’s the New Year, and I wanted to focus my January writings to Health and Fitness. This time of the year, many people need some motivation and good information to move them along their health journey. Super Foods are a huge component for a healthy life and I have a list of many great foods to add to your daily diet. These five foods will make you feel better, give you more energy and focus and get you one step further to optimal health.

BERRIES

Berries are such a super food in so many ways. They are full of antioxidants and help fight inflammation. They boost your energy, and reduce oxidative stress in your body. They also taste amazing. I add them to my coconut yogurt and to all my smoothies. They are great with just eating them on their own. I prefer to buy organic as berries are shown to have pesticides on them. That is just my preference.

Blueberries are a great source of antioxidants

CACAO

This has been widely known as a super food. Cacao nibs are rejuvenating and helps with cognitive function. They help your blood circulation, and helps with blood flow in the brain. Cacao is also very delicious. If you are a chocolate lover, adding this to your smoothie will not only give you the health benefits, but will relieve that sweet tooth.

GREEN TEA

Green tea has SO many antioxidants that helps to reduce stress, help with those raging hormones, and has been shown to speed up the metabolism. I’m not claiming that is true, but Green Tea is in many appetite depressants. Three cups of Green Tea a day has shown to help many ailments.

TURMERIC

This is a HUGE antioxidant and Super Food in my book. I add this to everything. I even make a great Turmeric tea that is so delicious. This Super Food has been proven to help with heart disease, and cancer. It is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. It has been shown to help with depression and arthritis.

AVOCADO

Avocado has been known as the “good fat” for a while. It is very nutritious, and is loaded up with really heart healthy fats that help with cholesterol and triglyceride levels. They also contain more potassium than a banana. Avocados have shown to reduce blood pressure. They are also loaded up with a lot of fiber that a body needs. These Super Foods are perfect.

I hope you all are having a great New Year so far and adding more health habits to your daily life.
