Five Things I Do Each Morning to Motivate Myself

Mornings can be spent in so many different ways. Some people get up and rush through their mornings , thinking about all the things they have to do that day. Believe me, I know so many people that tell me they feel stressed the minute they get out of bed. For me, my mornings are my time, and I take pride in making the most of my time.

Journaling

Journaling is such a great way to start your morning. I get my journal out with my cup of coffee and Start writing away about all the things I’m grateful for. I write down some of my favorite quotes that I live by, and it truly puts your day in a better peaceful place. It’s so easy to get caught up in the crazy chaos of the world. It seems there is always something going on around us. The only thing I have learned is that my life is the only thing I can control. You can either be happy and stress free , or you can walk through your beautiful day being stressed out about things that are out of your control. It’s your choice.

Meditation

I’ve been meditating for close to 3 years now. I’m hooked. It instantly soothes my brain and makes my mornings so perfect. It gives you time to reflect on your goals, and all the things that your thankful for. Meditation can be done anywhere, anytime, at any place which makes it so perfect. If you are afraid that your not going to be able to do it, check out some great apps like Headspace, or calm. It will get you started. You can also meditate for as little or long as you want. Believe me , it will change your life.

Drink Lemon Water

I start each morning with a large glass of lemon water. It just is something that I have been doing for so long and it instantly is a great start to my day. It restarts my metabolism and helps to flush toxins out of your body. I usually warm it up and place a nice lemon wedge in there. It is so refreshing.

Morning Stretches

I usually start my day with morning stretching before heading to my workout. It helps relax my muscles and it’s just a great way to say hello to your day. It helps me feel better during my workouts and helps to prevent injuries. I do avid yoga, but there is something about a morning salute.

My book is something I read everyday. It gives you each day of the year and such beautiful affirmations and ways to bring peace in your life . It is so soothing and calming to the mind and it’s such a beautiful book. I make sure that I don’t miss a day to read such beautiful words. It’s the little things that go a long way.
