I promise you that you will be getting full amounts of vitamins and minerals, and you will not even be able to taste them, because the fresh fruit will altar the state of the taste of those beets. Try it! Its a great one!

1/4 cup fresh water

1 naval orange, peeled and seeded

1 medium beet, peeled and cut into chunks

1/2 seedless grapes

1/2 cup strawberries

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

This makes two servings, so its best to share with someone, or if just making one, cut the portions In half.

Hi ladies!

I have always believed in juicing, and throwing so many great fruits and vegetables together, can actually turn out to be quite delicious. One thing that is very important , is when buying your fruits and vegetables, make sure you buy organic. There is truly no other way to buy. It protects you in the long run from all the pesticides and fertilizers used on regular fruits and vegetables. It may be more expensive, but it’s truly protecting your health. People often ask me why I love juicing. Well it’s because to me , and from the multiple books I have researched, juicing has so many benefits. When you juice , instead of drinking so called phony fruit juices, you are doing away with the fillers, sugars, and preservatives often found in almost all juices. I am yet to find a wholesome juice. If its in a can, you can almost bet you will find tons of sugar added. With juicing, you are getting the quality fruits, vitamins, and minerals, and tons of antioxidants in the full fruit or vegetable. There is just natural sugars from the fruit, but nothing added to give it a good taste. I often find that when I juice , I add natural flavor a such as lemon, honey, or even cilantro ad parsley, and the taste is great.  I do believe in the concept of juicing, and have seen amazing results from it such as clear skin, more energy, and I know some people who have juiced for three monthes, and seen their blood pressure go down , as well as their cholesterol. This doesn’t mean you should substitute juicing every meal in place of real food choices. I do add two juices daily to my regimen. It has been researched that they think juicing can help with cardiovascular disease, as well as helping cancer patients.  I have listed many recipes for juices on my blog , and they are amazing if you want to add that extra protection to your health. Many places in bigger cities are now offering green juices, which I think is great. Cheers to your health, and green up through the day! image

Great Ways to clean Eating

Hi Ladies!

We all know how hard it is to change our eating patterns, or the types of foods that we have chosen to eat. We have built up a tolerance for certain foods, and we just eat those foods on a daily basis. Like a lot of peoples choices, those foods may not be exactly healthy. Eating clean is so vital to our health, and as I’ve said before, as we age , we need to eat as healthy as possible to stay at the top of our game. I’m going to list some great ways to start the “clean Eating ” process, and you need to understand this is NOT a diet, but a way of living. If you have been eating preservative filled foods for a while now, it may take you a month or two to adapt to this lifestyle, but I can assure you , it’s well worth it.

_Drink more water-  Drinking more water is always filling, and water is vital to our health. Drinking the recommended amounts every day, keeps the toxins flushed out, and keeps our organs flushed. make sure to drink clean, fresh water every day.

-Clean out your pantry and fridge. – Cleaning out your pantry and fridge is the first step to clean eating. Get rid of the foods filled with preservatives, and additives, or any “fake food”. That’s exactly what I call it, because that is what it is. Try to replace your eggs with egg whites, or in the beginning start with a meal. Little replacements to healthier alternatives is the key. Replacing white rice with brown rice is an example also. There are so many great ideas on pinterest, that you can research.

Buy those fruits and veggies- I cant tell you how many wonderful recipes, appetizers, snacks, ect can be used with great veggies, and fruits , and are absolutely delicious. ready to eat a snack? Grab an apple, or some almonds. It will truly do your body good.

Do not shop in the middle of a grocery store. If you are heading to the store, try to shop around the perimeter of the grocery aisles. That is exactly where the healthy products are, and the middle is where the fake food is kept. You will find nothing in those middle aisles that are healthy.

Cook at home- Cooking at home, and making your own meals, is so much healthier than what you will find in any restaurant. I can guarantee you that. You have no idea what oils, or items are used in those entrees to get that amazing taste.

Doing these little baby steps at home will get you to that healthier lifestyle. You need to find a good balance in how you are making the changes. You may not be able to change in a day or a week, or even a month, but making the smallest changes will get you eating healthier.

I’m sure all of you have tried at one point in time, the fat filled granola mixes at the store, that over and over claim how healthy they are. I’m sure there are healthier ones out there, more than others, but you are not going to get a more healthier granola mix, then in your own kitchen. I have stopped buying those mixes for a while now, because I make my own ,and it is delicious. Here is a special recipe, loaded with better nutritional value, than you would find in the store. When making this granola, it’s best to use All-natural cut oats, such as quaker oats, because the nutrition is way healthier. This recipe is super easy, and a great way to spice up your yogurt.

-4 cups all natural oats

-1 tbsp. cinnamon

-1 cup raw nuts/ seeds

-1 cup coconut

-1 pinch of salt

-1 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavor

-1/4 cup sweet brown sugar

-1/4 cup melted organic coconut oil

You will combine all these ingredients on a tray, and Bake at 350 degrees, ( approx. 30 min). This is a super great all natural recipe, and a great delight for the kids. oats
