Breakfast boost? Avocado on toast

We all know that eating a healthy breakfast is essential to good health. I know lots of times we can get stuck in a rut, eating the same breakfast over and over again, and getting bored, even though we may be making healthy choices.

One of my favorites for a breakfast choice is avocado on toast. Avocado is a superfood for a variety of reasons. This green superfood is known to lower your cholesterol due to the mono saturated fats found in avocado. It provides you with 30 percent of this healthy fat every day. It will also keep your bad cholesterol at bay, which in turn helps reduce strokes and heart disease, which by the way is rising in women.

Avocado also works to boost your brain. Loaded with vitamin E, and omega 3 fatty acids, these are critical to keep your brain working optimally.

This green superfood also helps with weight loss. They are rich in fiber, and monounsaturated fatty acids. It helps you to experience hunger less often, and helps your body digestive system work more properly. With less hunger, you will stave off more calories.

Avocados help your blood pressure stay in tact, and helps maintain overall good health. Avocados are loaded with potassium, which in turn plays a huge role in keeping your blood pressure down. It provides you with approximately 14 percent of what your body needs daily.

Toss up your breakfast options weekly, and try an avocado on toast. Sprinkled with a little pepper, it’s a great breakfast option, or add an avocado to your egg whites. There are many ways to incorporate that superfood into some of your meals. Your health will thank you.

What is clean eating?

Hi ladies!

Clean eating is so important when we strive for optimum health. If you haven’t made a small change in your eating habits for the better, or do not know where to start , here are some tips on what clean eating actually is. We want to eat our food the way nature intended, and it’s Not a diet. It’s a lifestyle. Eating this way daily will bring you more energy, less ailment, clearer thinking, better focus, and a healthier body inside and out.

 – drink atleast 2 liters of water daily- I can’t tell you the significant difference it makes drinking water. It flushes out toxins, and keeps you hydrated all day long.

– keep alcohol limited. – cut down on alcohol , and if you want a drink , limit yourself to 1 glass of red wine daily for the antioxidants.

-choose organic- choose organic whenever possible. It cuts out preservatives, fillers, ect.

-read your labels- if you find something through the middle aisles at the store, it’s probabley 99% not good for you. The less ingredients, the better off you are.

-avoid all processed foods- this includes refined foods also. Anything made with flour, sugar, is a no no.

– drink your teas- they enrich your body, and have a cleansing effect.

– eat tons of fruits and vegetables- organic possible. Eating these and replacing the bad food, significantly adds so many benefits to your health.

– eat the healthy fats, and kick the bad days to the curb.

This way of eating resets your system, and adds much vitality to your life. You will age better, sleep better, have better workouts, cut out belly fat, ect. The list goes on. There is no better way of starting off the new year than to start eating clean!

Hi Ladies!

Who doesn’t love Starbucks? The drinks they come out with couldn’t get any more delicious, especially around the holidays. It may be easy for some of us to head to a close Starbucks whenever we feel, but for others it may not be so easy. I don’t know about you, but one my ultimate favorite drinks from Starbucks, is the Hibiscus Refresher. The taste is amazing, and instantly refreshing. Are you fan of it? Well I have a recipe that you can make right in your own home, and it taste identical to the real thing, and is a whopping 70 calories.

You will need:

  • 5 bags of any brand of Berry Hibiscus Tea. ( I personally love Yogi or Tazo).

You want to steep the tea bags in the boiling water , and add the honey . You want to make sure you let it steep for atleast an hour. Pour your tea into a pitcher, and add the berries and how much ice you would like. (Some people do not like them real icy). You can mash the berries up if you would like. Refrigerate for an hour.

This is really so refreshing and you will love it. The refresher can also be turned into a smoothie, by adding some spinach, and almond milk. Its quite yummy.
