Candy Cane Delight

It’s that time when the cocktails are moving , and the festivities begin. Everyone needs a good Christmas Cocktail to start off the holidays in style, and this cocktail is the perfect fit.

You can’t go wrong with With Martha Stewart’s amazing concoctions. She has splendid taste, and everything she makes ends up perfecto. I thought I’d try this out, and wow, it’s a favorite now. This will be served this holiday season in my home for sure. It has the taste of Christmas , and looks super pretty when finished. If you are not one that likes the taste of candy canes, then the canes can be substituted for white sugar crystals .

Place Crushed candy canes on a small plate or saucer. Wet the outside rim of a chilled martini or wine glass with water. Holding the glass by the stem, rotate the rim to coat with candy or the white sugar crystals. ( your preference)

In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, creme de menthe, cranberry juice, and ice. Shake well until combined. Strain into prepared glass . Serve and enjoy!

This is the ultimate treat to add to any festive gathering or party to celebrate the holidays in style.

Hi ladies!

I have to share with you one of my all time favorite drinks. I’m a huge wine drinker, but I absolutely love watermelon. If I can have a delicious cocktail with watermelon, I’m definitely going to.

Watermelon has a huge water content , which makes this drink so delicious. If you are one that is getting bored with a certain cocktail, you may want to try this. This is refreshing as well as delicious.

This is making 1 drink.

-1/2 cup chopped seedless watermelon

-1/4 cup club soda

-1 shot of vodka

-ice to blend

Place the watermelon and club soda and ice in your blender. Blend it well and then once it’s blended, add your vodka. Yummy! Add a garnishment such as mint or a cucumber.

Vodka lover ? The best spritzer without the sugar!

Hi Ladies!

I’ve never been a vodka lover. It may be because my love has always been for wine. I recently just got back from Chicago, and tried one of the greatest spritzers ever, and yes it included vodka! It’s okay to have a cocktail every now and then right? I recently stumbled upon a great website recently where I seen a wonderful,  refreshing recipe for a lemonade vodka mix. The wonderful website Epicurious, has some amazing recipes. I asked the bartender in Chicago if he could try to make it without the sugar added, and he did! Viola! I have to say it was pretty amazing. It was so tasty, that I have to share the recipe with you. This is a great recipe for parties, cookouts, or even to make yourself on a hot summer night. This recipe will fill six- 8 oz. glasses. I did not add the sugar to my drink, as it calls in this recipe, but was still amazing.

1 cup packed mint leaves

2/3 cup packed sugar

1 cup fresh lemon juice

1 1/2 cups vodka

crushed ice

Combine the chopped mint & sugar in a bowl with the vodka. Cover and refrigerate for atleast 30 min. Strain the mixture into a pitcher. Fills 6 8oz. glasses with crushed ice. Pour mixture over. Garnish with the mint leaves. This is one refreshing drink.

It’s Clausmopolitan time at Fit and Bliss

Hi dolls!

Don’t you love the holidays? The hustle and bustle of the crowds, the holiday parties, along with great cocktails, good friends, and all the amazing party dresses you see. The holidays are a time to celebrate another amazing year, and this year Fit and Bliss is celebrating with amazing cosmopolitans ! I’ve always loved these drinks, but this year I’m putting a bit of a spin on things, and adding a little sparkle to this lovely drink. Adding a bit of white crystals to the rim, not only add some glitz to the glass , but a bit of sugar to the wonderful taste of this drink. If you are throwing a party this holiday season, these are always a hit.

2 cups good vodka ( my favorite is titos), and my husbands!

1 cup orange liqueur ( preferably Countreau)

1 cup pomegranate juice

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

Lime peel strips to garnish

Dip cup in white sugar crystals before pouring drink.

Combine all the ingredients in a pitcher. Pour all of it in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds, and fill a martini glass. Voila ! Amazing!

Cocktail Time.. Only without the Sugar Buzz..

Hi Ladies!

We all love living a Healthy lifestyle and staying fit, but don’t we all deserve a good cocktail here and there? One thing I despise about those fruity cocktails, is all that hidden sugar. You have a few to drink, and then all of a sudden you feel like a 5 year old , who has been drinking capri sun all day. We all know what sugar does to our bodies. It puts excess weight on, and drags our immune system down. We do not want that , do we? I love entertaining, and I have had the hardest time finding really good drinks that doesn’t load up on sugar. With any product , I try and tell. With these great recipes, I tasted, and I’m ready to tell. For those of you that love those beach, fruity drinks, I think these cocktail recipes I’m about to share will do you good. You can always add a bit of salt to the rim. I personally do not like it, but its optional on any of these great recipes. I found these on the amazing website yummly, for those of you that would love to check it out. Its amazing, and you can find just about anything on there.
