My Amazing Results With The FitRise Three Day Cleanse

Hey All !

I wanted to share with you my Amazing Results that had with The FitRise Three Day Cleanse By Danette May. I am very picky about the cleanses I do because I have never had any good results with any of them, except for The Sakara 10 Day Reset.I found this amazing 3 Day cleanse from Danette MAy online and decided to try it. I’m sure glad I did.

I was just coming off of a two week vacation and then a week long holiday. I was consuming some amazing wine along with some great Italian food. I knew I wanted to come home and reset my body. My thinking was foggy and I felt overexerted. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I tried this amazing cleanse.

Fit Rise Cleanse

I want to start off by saying that this is NOT a cleanse that starves you to death. This cleanse gives you vital nutrients and vitamins and nourishes your body. It doesn’t leave you feeling hungry or unsatisfied. It’s not hard to do and is not overwhelming. I feel every single smoothie is delicious. The cleanse gives you a whole shopping list for the three days .

DAY 1

When you wake, you drink a mixture of Lemon Water with Cayenne Pepper and Apple Cider Vinegar. This literally filled me up. It’s really got a good taste to it. An hour later you will then make you a Lemon Green Tea. The Lemon in the tea is really cleansing to your organs . The Breakfast smoothie comes after that. It really does taste like a Pina Colada without the alcohol in it. Once that is drank, an hour later you drink the cider vinegar elixir again. Your Dinner consist of the Fired Up Metabolism Drink which is so good. You then drink the apple cider elixir again before bed. The day of smoothies really does keep you feeling full.

DAY 2

The second day is all about bringing in anti -inflammatory foods. They are still cleansing to the body and gives the body the chance to digest fully. You start off with the cider vinegar elixir , and then the Lemon Green Tea. You will then add in a Mint Drink as your Lunch. The Mint Drink really helps the digestive tract. The Lunch will consist of The Love Smoothie. This adds in chia seeds, and lots of greens to your cleanse. For Dinner, you Will make you the Coconut Kale. This is so good, topped off with the Cider Vinegar Elixir Before Bed. At this Point, You are really starting to feel light.

DAY 3

This is the Final Phase. I’m not going to lie, you are craving some real food at this point, but you feel too good. The last day you start off with the Apple Cider elixir, then the Lemon Green Tea. Your breakfast consist of the Green Goddess Smoothie which I have to say is super good too. You then move toward the Belly Bliss Meal for Lunch. The dinner is the Sensual Warrior Drink which to me taste like a chocolate shake. Once again, before bed you drink the Apple Cider Elixir drink. You then sleep really great. I think its all the detoxing.

Once I was done with the cleanse, my clarity and focus was better. I dropped 4 lbs. It was probably that stubborn water weight. I felt amazing. I then started to eat light and focus on whole foods again. I made light salads primarily of greens, and olive oil and vegetables. My workouts were back on track . I felt like a million dollars. I can’t stress to you enough how amazing this cleanse is. Try it for yourself and see how great you will feel.

The reasons you should add mushrooms to your diet daily.

Mushrooms have long been around as a great cleansing agent. They not only are used in cleansing your systems, but amazing for your digestion among other things.

I try to add in a mushroom tonic weekly, and you truly can feel the benefits. Mushrooms help ward off the flu( which none of us like), and helps really calm the spirit. There are many types of mushrooms, as Reishi being one of my favorites. They all play an important part in keeping our immune systems balanced, and in tact. Keeping our immune systems strong in the colder months is essential in keeping those colds and flus as bay. I have included a great mushroom tonic below, and it’s not only great for your health, but pretty delicious.  I use a great Gynestemma as the base for this tonic. Gynestemma is great for lowering your cholesterol and immune regulation.

  • Steep one bag of Gynestemma tea
  • 1/4 tsp. Hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • A few drops of vanilla stevia to taste. You can also try to use raw honey if you prefer.

Pour steeped tea in the blender before adding the powdered herbs. Blend on high until creamy. Add a dash of cinnamon.

Super green soup with cashew cream

Happy Monday!

I have to share with you this wonderful recipe that I found in Optimum Nutrition. Its delightful as well as delicious. This is perfect to get those antioxidants through the fall season and winter months. I know a few of you think green soup, no way, but it’s delicious.

This is a great recipe by Amelia Freer, nutritional therapist for people like Boy George and Sam Smith. It’s in her amazing recipe book, Cook, Nourish, and Glow.

  • Olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 3 handfuls of fresh or frozen peas
  • 3 cups vegetable or chicken stock
  • 1 small bag of baby spinach
  • 1 green chili, chopped to sprinkle on top
  • A small handful of fresh parsley, chopped to serve

For the cashew cream

  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 1 3/4 water & 1 1/4 cups hot water
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Zest of 1 lemon

A few hours before making this soup, prepare the cashew cream. Put the cashews into a bowl, pour over the hot water, and leave to soak for atleast 2 hours. Once the cashews are tender, drain and put into food processor, along with 1 1/4 cups fresh water, the garlic, and lemon zest and blitz until completely smooth and creamy . Set aside.

Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a rage saucepan, and sweat the onion until translucent. Add the broccoli and peas to the pan, cook for 5 min, then add the stock. ( the vegetables should be just covered). Bring to the boil. Simmer until the broccoli is tender. ( roughly 4 min). Don’t over cook the vegetables or they will turn a full green. Using a stick blender, start blending the soup , adding a handful of spinach at a time, the spinach will cook as its mixed with the soup. Blend until the soup is smooth and thick, then stir through half the cashew cream. Serve in bowls with a swirl of cashew cream on top and fresh parsley and chili, if using scattered over. Yummy!!!

Does organic food make a difference?

Many people these days believe organic food to be healthier for you. An estimated 70 billion has been spent on organic products and the number is growing.

When it comes to non organic farming, many of the pesticides have been linked to many cancers, and neurodegenerative diseases. Non organic produce has shown to have toxic metals and pesticide residues. This is pesticides you ARE ingesting.

In a recent study, it has been determined that organic produce had superior nutritional content, and organic tomatoes had shown a 20-30 percent richness in lycopene, and higher levels of antioxidants. When organic strawberries were tested, they had shown a higher nutritional value in terms of antioxidants, and had a richer color than non organic. I’m sure a lot of you are asking yourselves, ” what does organic mean? It really comes down to respecting our environment, and keeping our people healthy. Organic farmers do not use pesticides, fertilizers, growth hormones or GMO’s. Your basically paying more for a higher nutrient product that helps in promoting good health.

As I feel, organic is the ultimate best. There are some foods that you can get by with buying non organic, but there are the ” dirty dozen”, and these foods are best bought organic.

  • Apples
  • Potatoes
  • Snap peas
  • Strawberries
  • Spinach
  • Sweet peppers
  • Peaches
  • Nectarines
  • Grapes
  • Celery
  • Cucumbers
  • Cherry tomatoes

These are best bought organic. It doesn’t just stop at fruits and vegetables. Meat should be bought organic . They have higher amounts of linoeic acid and higher omega 3 fatty acids. I know it can be expensive to shop organic, but in the long run , it pays for better health. That’s what we all want correct?
