I have to share with you one of my all time favorite drinks. I’m a huge wine drinker, but I absolutely love watermelon. If I can have a delicious cocktail with watermelon, I’m definitely going to.
Watermelon has a huge water content , which makes this drink so delicious. If you are one that is getting bored with a certain cocktail, you may want to try this. This is refreshing as well as delicious.
This is making 1 drink.

Place the watermelon and club soda and ice in your blender. Blend it well and then once it’s blended, add your vodka. Yummy! Add a garnishment such as mint or a cucumber.
We love having our cocktails here and there, atleast I do. If you are one that doesn’t, that’s a great healthy choice on your part. Drinking too much alcohol is not good, but having your occasional glass of rose or Pinot , isn’t going to hurt. I have some of my greatest concoctions that you can buy, or make to keep your health at optimal levels and still enjoy your favorite cocktails.
I have added these drinks to my daily regimen, and they really do make me feel great, especially if you drink them at the right time. If you are one that will make the drinks, it’s very important to use wholesome ingredients. I have ordered Pressed juicery drinks for about a year now, and I am completely hooked on them. It can be pricey, but they do add so much to your well being and state of health. They are made of wholesome ingredients, and does save you the time of making them daily.
Here are the great concoctions to add to your daily regimen. They are perfect to make for anyone that does or does not drink, due to the health benefits , and how they make you feel. They do add great protection to your health while drinking .
- Drink a glass of warm water with fresh squeezed lemon every morning. This is perfect first thing in the morning to start that metabolism, and flush out toxins. It’s perfect on the liver. This should be your morning drink before anything else .
- Have you had one too many glasses of wine? Drinking coconut water before bed has shown to hydrate, and reduce the effects of a hangover. Coconut water is loaded up with potassium and other minerals that help you feel better the next morning. Go ahead and stock your fridge with your favorite coconut water.
- The next morning after having too many glasses, make you a shot of water with ginger, lemon , and cayenne. This completely starts the detox process. It’s a huge immune booster, and helps settles any type of upset stomach you may have.
I could write another post on the effects of alcohol, and we all know that binge drinking is bad. Drinking your favorite cocktails in the summer is ok, but adding these three drinks everyday is essential for keeping you in the healthiest state. Wanting to Make you own? I’ve never been a vodka lover. It may be because my love has always been for wine. I recently just got back from Chicago, and tried one of the greatest spritzers ever, and yes it included vodka! It’s okay to have a cocktail every now and then right? I recently stumbled upon a great website recently where I seen a wonderful, refreshing recipe for a lemonade vodka mix. The wonderful website Epicurious, has some amazing recipes. I asked the bartender in Chicago if he could try to make it without the sugar added, and he did! Viola! I have to say it was pretty amazing. It was so tasty, that I have to share the recipe with you. This is a great recipe for parties, cookouts, or even to make yourself on a hot summer night. This recipe will fill six- 8 oz. glasses. I did not add the sugar to my drink, as it calls in this recipe, but was still amazing.
1 cup packed mint leaves
2/3 cup packed sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 cups vodka
Combine the chopped mint & sugar in a bowl with the vodka. Cover and refrigerate for atleast 30 min. Strain the mixture into a pitcher. Fills 6 8oz. glasses with crushed ice. Pour mixture over. Garnish with the mint leaves. This is one refreshing drink.
Wine has always been known as a luxury drink, embraced with the delicious taste of fermented grapes, paired with an amazing meal. These days , it more than just luxury, it’s healthy.
With fermentation, due to the chemical imbalance, most reds are made without the addition of sugar, but it doesn’t mean that all wines are the best wines. Some wines are made cheaply, and can have some sugar added for a sweeter taste. If you are choosing to buy a bottle of wine under $10, it may not be the best.
I’m in multiple wine clubs that select the top wines from California, and they all are amazing. Most bottles retail for $22-$35 , and you can tell. The taste of a good bottle of wine is rich and delicious with no bitterness. I’ve had years of trying, tasting, and learning of wines, and I can tell when a wine is made cheaply. I do have bottles that are made organic, and I absolutely love them. You can drink a bottle , and not get a headache, and the taste stays wonderful. Below are my three favorite organic wines.
Chateau Maris- this wine is absolutely delicious. It is made organic, and has a lemon , honeysuckle taste. This is perfect for a summer night.
Cooper mountain- this wine is rich and sultry in taste and organic. It has a great pairing with a steak and salad . There is absolutely no bitterness to this one.
Quivira- great organic wine that is perfect for the summer, and has a bit of cranberry taste to it. This is great paired with a good salad.
Don’t you love the holidays? The hustle and bustle of the crowds, the holiday parties, along with great cocktails, good friends, and all the amazing party dresses you see. The holidays are a time to celebrate another amazing year, and this year Fit and Bliss is celebrating with amazing cosmopolitans ! I’ve always loved these drinks, but this year I’m putting a bit of a spin on things, and adding a little sparkle to this lovely drink. Adding a bit of white crystals to the rim, not only add some glitz to the glass , but a bit of sugar to the wonderful taste of this drink. If you are throwing a party this holiday season, these are always a hit.
2 cups good vodka ( my favorite is titos), and my husbands!
1 cup orange liqueur ( preferably Countreau)
1 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
Lime peel strips to garnish
Dip cup in white sugar crystals before pouring drink.
Combine all the ingredients in a pitcher. Pour all of it in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds, and fill a martini glass. Voila ! Amazing!
