I’m always trying to find healthy snacks for my daughter; she has such a sweet tooth and I don’t buy processed, sugar filled snacks. Luckily, she loves super dark chocolate (the healthy kind), so I came upon this recipe. But changed it up a little… Instead of using regular chocolate squares, I decided on 70 percent chocolate squares with organic peanut butter or almond butter in the middle. Put them in the fridge, and let them harden a little.. She loved them, and I hope you do too!
- 1 package dark chocolate (70 percent) squares
- Organic peanut butter or almond butter. Put together and stick in fridge

Well everyone needs protein in their diet, and it’s not just adults. As kids are as active as they are today. They need a good amount of protein from healthy sources. As a mother of two kids, both very active, I make sure they are getting adequate protein intake daily. They need it to keep up on practices, and to keep their body healthy and strong. My son, who is worse than me when it comes to being a health nut, eats Builders Bars with a high amount of protein at 25 grams per bar as his body weight and height are that of a high school junior. My daughter on the other hand is younger, and pickier but I have been buying her the Clif Z organic bars, which she loves. They are fortified with many minerals and and vitamins. They can be bought from their website or at most grocery stores nationwide.

Margerita pizza is my favorite and I use a gluten free .. Organic pizza crust. ( only bought at natural food stores).. Use organic pizza sauce .. Gluten free , and top with low skim mozzarella slices, basil and spinach. I sometimes put tomatoes on it depending if my daughter is eating.. It is a really delicious treat.. You can eat pizza and it still be healthy! It’s all about making healthy choices! Xoxo
