Valentines Day is just around the corner, and I want to share some of my favorite Valentines Favorites with you. Many people can’t seem to get into Valentines Day, but for some reason I love it. It may be because it’s around my birthday. I love making cute cake pops or some cute cupcakes, and I love giving my friends some great wine and chocolates. I love to gift give. It’s my favorite. I absolutely love chocolates and wine together. There are many great ways to spice up your husbands or boyfriends day. The smallest things go so far and mean the most. Leaving a cute note with some of their favorite chocolates in their car, or just making them up a small gift basket of some of their favorite things is something nice to do. It’s also a cute idea to set up a time to hit a wine bar before sitting down to a nice dinner. For the little ones, they love anything and everything. My son is way to big to get those valentines gifts, so I usually get him one of his favorite gift cards or a card with cash. My daughter still loves the girly things, so I usually buy her some personalized chocolates , and take her for a pedicure , or even buying those over sized cards are always fun. There are many ways to let your significant other and family know how much you mean, and it doesn’t even have to cost a thing. Taking your family member to lunch, or making them a nice dinner is always a great gesture. As chaotic as the days seem to get with sports, and other things, it can be hard to make the time through the week to get to dinner or even make dinner sometimes. Writing a nice note or doing something nice for someone will go far.

It’s that time of the year again where the food and drinks never seem to quit. We are going to be around wonderful treats and tasty cocktails for the next month, but that doesn’t mean you need to let your waist side expand like your appetite. I have some great pointers to keep that metabolism burning , and you will not be short changed when it comes to eating your favorite holiday treats this season.

Holidays are a time for celebration, and it’s also the time to enjoy all your favorites. Those favorites may or may not be the healthiest, but with these tips, you will not have to worry.

– Drink that hot lemon water every morning. This gives your metabolism a boost, and keeps your liver working properly. Make sure to make you a cup every morning.

– Drink more water through out the day. This really does prevent over eating, because it makes you feel so much fuller when it comes to party time.

– get out every day and get in 30-45 minutes of exercise. Whether it is running, or walking , it’s burning calories. 

– try to opt for lower calorie cocktails. Alcohol CAN kill your waist line if you are drinking high calorie drinks every day. If you know you are going to be drinking, pick a vodka drink over a cream based drink , such as those tasty martinis that can add up to an extra 300 -400 calories a drink. The sugar is what’s so fattening. Try to stay at a minimum of 2, and drink water between them.

-try to stop eating by early evening. Having a small snack is ok, but eating big meals later in the evening, will not help your metabolism.

Try doing these tips during the holidays, and it will be so much better on your body, and will help in preventing those extra pounds during the holiday season.

Hi dolls!  

 Don’t you love the holidays? The hustle and bustle of the crowds, the holiday parties, along with great cocktails, good friends, and all the amazing party dresses you see. The holidays are a time to celebrate another amazing year, and this year Fit and Bliss is celebrating with amazing cosmopolitans ! I’ve always loved these drinks, but this year I’m putting a bit of a spin on things, and adding a little sparkle to this lovely drink. Adding a bit of white crystals to the rim, not only add some glitz to the glass , but a bit of sugar to the wonderful taste of this drink. If you are throwing a party this holiday season, these are always a hit. 

2 cups good vodka ( my favorite is titos), and my husbands! 

1 cup orange liqueur ( preferably Countreau)

1 cup pomegranate juice 

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

Lime peel strips to garnish 

Dip cup in white sugar crystals before pouring drink. 

Combine all the ingredients in a pitcher. Pour all of it in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds, and fill a martini glass. Voila ! Amazing!
