Hi Ladies!

We hear the word relaxation, and I’m sure a lot of you laugh when you hear that word. Many people seem to not get any ” me” time due to the hectic lifestyles we live. It’s not going to be given to us, so it’s very important that we make it.

I know your thinking there is no way you can make it, but I promise you can. It can be simply of taking 10 minutes to take a hot bath, or 30 minutes to take a short walk. I love playing tennis on the weekends, and I maintain that every weekend. A wine night out with the girls never hurt either. Statistics show that stress over load or what they call burn out will wreak havoc on our bodies and health. It’s apparative we make ” me ” time.

Stress is such a huge factor in what causes many diseases and ailments. Meditation is a wonderful way to take 10 minutes of “me” time. I have many amazing meditation podcasts that I love. Stress overload can cause high blood pressure, obesity , and heart problems among other things. Take time for yourself. I can’t stress the importance. My favorite way to unwind is watching a great movie with my family and having a good glass of Pinot. We weren’t put on this earth to never take time for ourselves. We have to take care of ourselves before we can take care of everyone else. When we enjoy what we are doing, everything is balanced. Who said Laughter didn’t help stress levels. Laugh every chance you can get. Your heart and health will appreciate it.

Hi beauties!

I’m sure you know that living in today’s world is so chaotic and full of craziness. It seems like everyone is flying from one place to another, getting their kids to their events and obligations, and not to mention the craziness of just keeping your family together and getting dinners made. The people that work full time jobs, then come home to do their second jobs, you all are so admirable.

I stumbled across Transcendental Meditation about six months ago when a friend told me that she uses it for relaxation techniques. Wow. Am I glad that I had this talk with her. I am a huge yoga advocate and it’s amazing for what it does for your body. I love the feeling of going to a hot yoga class, and the effects it has on your body and mind are tremendous. Transcendental Meditation has given my mind a peaceful and calm awareness, and I rarely think of anything other than the moment I’m in, and that’s very rare for me, as I’m a planner. It’s okay to plan things, but thinking about the future or worrying about things in the future does nothing for your mind and spirit, and can bring so much anxiety and worry for what? Nothing!

Meditation can make your life so much more enjoyable and less stressed; more balanced. Even if it’s just for ten minutes a day. Ten minutes can do wonders. When you are driving in your car, painting, writing, taking a relaxing bath, is when transcendental meditation apps come in handy. I love them, and I listen to at least one a day. I can’t tell you how amazing they are, and what calm it brings into your space. Transcendental Meditation is known also to relieve stress, anxiety, mood disorders, and any of you who have trouble sleeping, it’s great for insomnia.

I wanted to share with you my five favorite transcendental apps, and I hope you download at least one, and let me know how they have helped you. I just feel so relaxed after listening to them, and I’m sure you will too!

1. Insight Timer. This app is completely free, and wonderful.

2. Transcendental Timer. With this app, you can create your own meditation.

3. White Noise Pro. Do you have problems sleeping? I think this app is great for that.

4. Meditate and Visualize.

5. Guided Meditation Techniques

I hope you all try some of these! They will add so much relaxation and positive energy to your life! 💕

Happy Sunday, lovlies!

stress freeLast week, a few people asked me if I have any advice on stress management. Life can can get so chaotic, and everyone is trying to get from one function to another – whether it’s running kids around town, handling household duties for your family, or just getting ready for a big event!

Well, the way I deal with stress is through my workouts. I’m not one who stresses out too much. I may think, “Wow, when are things going to slow down?” but I won’t let stress ruin my day. I get up, I workout, and everything is better. Believe me, at this time in my life, my kids have so many things going on… But I keep grounded by maintaining my workouts and eating healthy and taking my supplements. In addition, here are some of my stress busters that I cherish; and, maybe you can make them a part of your life, too!

  1. Take a walk.  I can’t tell you how many times I take walks, just for the peace and quiet. It gives me time to process everything going on in my busy life.
  2. Take a hot bath.  Okay ladies, I am obsessed with baths. I literally call my bathroom my spa. I love baths, bath oils, and the big white fluffy robe to go along with it. Relax and enjoy!
  3. Meditation.  I only started taking this up a month ago, and I can’t tell you how much it has changed my life. Fifteen minutes of meditation per day is all you need. It gives you time to rejuvenate your mind and body. My friend introduced me to this, and I have one word: Hooked!
  4. Deep breathing.  Just taking 10 minutes a day to breathe deep and get in the now is so huge for your soul. In the future, I will be doing a tutorial on deep breathing, so be on the lookout for that!
  5. Dance!  Who doesn’t have fun dancing?! Once a month, my girlfriends and I go out for a nice dinner, and then we hit a dance floor! Love it – keeps you young!
  6. Yoga.  Yoga, especially hot yoga, is such a stress buster! Do it once, and trust me – you’ll be back in no time!

Live life by the day, ladies! Don’t worry about what’s in the future… Live in the moment! Love, -Melissa

You know sometimes with the chaos that we live in daily.. It’s hard to slow down and really live in the moment. It use to be hard for me but I have simply learned a lot through my great meditation friend who advises to take deep breaths and not looking back on the past or what happened yesterday or worrying about the future which hasn’t happened yet. It’s ok to have goals daily.. But don’t let anxiety , stress, worry or fear of anything run your days because it’s taking away from what’s really important which is the moments.. They are here and gone in a heartbeat. So these have worked for me..,don’t think about what happened yesterday or anything from the past. It’s called the past for a reason. 2. Yoga & meditation is a mugs for me. Take deep breaths daily and concentrate on the breath. 3. When u wake up in the morning .. Think of the blessings you have .. And what you plan to do with your day that is something you want to do. 4. Don’t let fear , worry or anything for that matter control your life..go after everything!!! You live once….💜
