It has been a bit chaotic in the past few months. We have all went through major changes with the craziness in the world, and all the negative energy that most of us have noticed. It is really hard for some to really enjoy their days with joy. I can tell you that this is why it is truly important to take time each day for ourselves and our mental health. Everyone Needs ME Time.
Healthy mental health is so important. It’s trying times like these that really test our ability to get through it. We are so use to being a part of something. It can be hanging with our families each day or having a true connection with other humans on a daily basis. When that is taken away for whatever reason, it can wreak so much havoc on our mental state of mind. Taking time each day to really sit in silence, or read a book, or light a candle and meditate can do so many wonders for your mental state.
I feel taking time for yourself each day is vital to us and the people we love. It makes us better people, and puts our minds at a state of ease. I want to say that I know there are people out there that truly are suffering from all sorts of mental illness, and I am in no way a doctor telling you how to control it. I am simply inviting you to take time for yourself and your mind each day to really observe your feelings. It can really help to write your emotions and feelings on paper. It can help to journal your days and write down how you are feeling from day to day. Reading a good book on self empowerment or reading meditations can really help your mind at ease.
These are very unsettling times for sure. We never could’ve imagined that so many chaotic things would turn our world upside down , one after another. We could never have imagined that we would be told when we could leave our homes, or when we could be around the people we love. These are all new , unexpected events that have truly changed all of our lives. These ideas that I am giving you are to help your mind settle more easily. Meditation and listening to relaxing music has been proven to help the mind relax and rejuvenate.
If you just take 15 minutes each day to really take time for yourself, you will see that you will feel more relaxed through out your day and maybe not worry so much. Taking a hot bath at night and lighting a candle can really work wonders for the mind. We all deserve a little peace in our daily lives. The little things can really work wonders for you.
I have always loved reading. Matter of fact, back in school, I was literally called the Book Worm , because of my love for reading. This summer I have four great books that I have read, and I’m passing them on to you because who doesn’t Love a great summer read? It doesn’t matter if you are a lover of suspense and murder mysteries, or you love the dramas with high school, there are always great books out there for you. I have read four this summer, and I’m actually on my last. They have all been wonderful, and I have to share them with you. I love every single kind of book. I love suspense, drama, biography , fiction, and I love fascinating self motivating books. There is nothing more fascinating then to read a book about someone who built a legacy on their own, or built an empire from the ground up. I love stories where people built their OWN legacy, and it wasn’t handed to them. It is a dedication of hard work , discipline, and I LOVE that more than anything. Reading is a great way to unwind, relax, and detox the brain. Check out some of my favs.
My all time favorite read this summer has been Wellth by Jason Wachob. He is the amazing founder of one of my favorite websites , MindBodyGreen.com. This is a man who had a vision, and ran with it. The all time great read bases everything on life balance. We CAN have it all. Its a reasoning on balancing the life craziness that can occur in our everyday lives. One of the BEST reads I’ve read yet. The Eleven Rings by Phil Jackson is another wonderful book. It is based on success, and the conditions of success. Of course he has had plenty in his lifetime, but it is an amazing read. The third book is for that pool side ,relaxation mode. It is a great summer read, and is based on the drama of youth and death at the same time. It is very cosmopolitan, It is perfect for that summer vacation. Amy Bloom is an amazing author with a vision for good reading. This is at the top for one of the BEST summer books this year.
I have mentioned before that if I try something out, I have to spread the word. I feel that is the reason that people learn new things, try new things, and so forth. I can’t tell you enough how much I loved Cindy Crawford, ( yes the gorgeous woman who us about to turn 50, and in retrospect, doesn’t look a day over 35. ) since I was a 14 year old girl. Growing up I really thought she was the most gorgeous Supermodel out of that whole iconic 90’s clan, and I still do today, but I think it’s because she’s such a role model in many different ways. She’s just as intelligent as beautiful, and has really done amazing things with broadening her brand . It’s not only the amazing mole , that has made her famous. I recently ordered her book Becoming, and have loved every single part of it. She enlists her beauty secrets, and has put the most gorgeous photography in there, that marks her 50 years. The gorgeous photos photographed by Herb Ritts, and it shows a woman that has grown in so many ways both as a model, wife, mother, and entrepreneur. I think this book gives the glimpse that no Matter what we are doing at this time in our life, anything is possible, and we can branch out in the many ways that make us happy. It’s about development and growth , and we don’t stop trying the things we love because of a birth certificate, or the worlds way of thinking their is an expiration date on what we want to try! It’s really a magnificent book, and if you have the chance to see it, you should.

Goes through the whole body from why eating clean is important to why moving your body keeps you feeling young and vibrant.. It’s really one of my all time favorites!!! .. And Cameron Diaz.. Well I love her.. 💜
