It’s always great to get into a spa to get your fabulous facial or any spa treatment for that matter, but if you are short on time, or need one ASAP, I have the perfect solution on giving yourself a great DIY facial. I know that part of being in a spa is the fact of the relaxation , and someone else supplying the treatment, but this will get done what you need in a short amount of time, and you will have glowing skin to bat.
1. Start giving yourself a great cleanse by using a good cleanser . Cleansers that have charcoal in them work best on my skin. They seem to get rid of debris very well.
2. After you have cleansed your skin real well, you want to start getting rid of old skin cells by exfoliating. This refurbishes your skin, and gets it glowing. You want to make sure that you don’t scrub too hard as it will cause redness and could start itching.
3.Once you have exfoliated really well, try to Facial steam your face. You could do this by placing your head over hot water, and covering your head with a towel to keep the steam in, or you could invest in a really good facial steamer. It’s all dependent on how much you want to spend. You want to steam you face for at least 5-10 minutes.
4. Once the steaming is done, then apply a really good mask to your face. You want to make sure you leave the mask on for as long as it says. The mask will give your skin the moisture that it needs, and the antioxidants.
5. Once you have applied the mask, make sure you rinse your face off really well, and apply a really good toner. The toner tightens the skin, and helps keep the products absorbed so they can work to their highest level. This is just a really great way to add in a weekly facial if you are short on time, or you want to save money for something else. Having great, healthy skin is the key to beautiful skin!
Who is over this weather already? It’s not only the crazy cold conditions outside, but the fact this chilling weather wreaks havoc on your skin. I can’t tell you how many people I talk to tell me how dried out their skin is, and in some cases, chronic itching. That is not fun! There are amazing ways I keep my skin subtle and moisturized in these pesky, cold conditions. We all need ways to keep our skin lavished until the heat rises again. Correct? First off I have to say that in these cold conditions, I love taking hot baths. Yes I love my hot showers, but a bath is way more inviting, and oh how it relaxes you. I usually run a pretty warm bath, and enhance my bath with Lavender Bath Salts. The aroma of lavender is one of my favorites, and I also add lavender bath oil. The oil instantly moisturizes your skin while your in there. Once I’m done, I always use my Coconut oil for my face and body and apply it once I’m out. You can feel instantly if you don’t apply an oil, your skin feels dry and itchy. Once I apply my coconut oil over my body, I then apply my neutrogena body lotion all over. I can’t stress enough how important oil is for your body in this cold weather. I love body oil so much that I use it every day even in the summer. I’ve just seen a huge difference in my skin as far as being soft and subtle. It is all up you to decide which brands you love the best. I personally love Aveda, Neutrogena, and some amazing bath salts from Bath and Body works. Face and neck oil is just as important. Bare Minerals has a great face oil that I use before applying my moisturizer. Well Ladies, keep that beautiful skin in tact. You only have one! Happy Saturday!
Happy hump day ladies!
Looking for that perfect night cream? Well, I recently have been trying Dr. Jart Night BB Night Beauty Balm, and I have to say it’s amazing! He has come out with some amazing products, but this is by far one of the best. I wake up in the morning, and my skin feels rejuvenated and fresh, but not oily. If you are sick and tired (literally!) of testing out night creams, I recommend trying this one! And as always, let me know what you think!
