I love eating Vegan. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to eating any other type of food lifestyle. The way my body feels after eating this way , and the energy that I have from adopting this type of eating style is amazing. The crazy thing about eating Vegan is that everyone thinks its a major food change. It is, but in such a great way. There are SO many amazing, delicious recipes out there. I’m literally hooked on the Vegan Way Of Life. There are many great substitutions for your favorite ingredients.
This is one of my Favorite Recipes. I absolutely love pancakes, but never liked the way they made me feel before. I stumbled across this amazing Vegan recipe from a friend, and I am addicted to them. I do add fruit and a bit of cinnamon to them. They are So Yummy. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
1 1/4 Cup Almond Flour
2 Tablespoons Stevia
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
1 1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon coconut oil
You want to sift your flour, sugar, baking powder, salt in a large bowl. Whisk the water and oil together in a small bowl. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, and pour in the wet area. Stir enough until blended.
Heat a pan ( preferably stainless steel) with coconut oil. Place the batter in. Cook until the bubbles form and they are browned. Repeat on both sides.
Once they are done, you can add a bit of cinnamon and fruit toppings to it. I also love adding a bit of coconut yogurt to the top too. These are truly delicious.
Eating Vegan isn’t as hard as you might think. It may take you time, but overall it truly has helped me feel better and have more energy. If this is something you have thought of doing, but is a bit skeptical, that’s normal. Take it one day at a time.
I’ve never felt more energized, and healthy than I do these days. I’ve been eating a raw diet , atleast 80 percent of the time , and I couldn’t be happier with the way I feel.
It can be very difficult to change your eating patterns if you are use to eating a certain way. You may be one that loves sweets. Guess what? You can have raw , vegan treats. If you are one that craves fried foods, then it may be hard in the beginning, but I promise you WILL adapt. I use a method of 80/20. I eat raw 80 percent of the time, and the other 20 , I allow my healthy non-raw treats. I hardly ever eat bad. I just have come to the determination that eating healthy is key to a healthy life and a healthy body.
There are some great ways that will help you with the adjustment. I know many of you think that eating a raw diet consist of just eating raw spinach everyday. Wrong! There are amazing raw recipes that will really hit the spot.
– Start slow. You don’t have to go 80/20, overnight , or 100 % overnight. It takes time. It’s a process. Start by getting up 1 day a week or 3 days a week, and replacing your breakfast with a fresh raw juice. I do this every morning, and I love it. The small changes will give you a great start.
-Try substitutions. Are you a pasta eater? Try making zucchini pasta instead. It’s delish. Substituting pasta with a zucchini noodle is the perfect start. Do you think you can’t do without your milk? Try almond milk or flax milk. You will surprise yourself on how much you may start to love it.
-Make a full menu for the week only with raw, vegan meals. Tell yourself your going to try it for one week. I can’t tell you how many amazing meals I’ve cooked that are raw and vegan. They are delicious. You have to start somewhere. If you have faith and discipline, you can do anything.
Changing the way you eat for the better will not only change your body and mind, but it will change your life.
It’s summer time , and who doesn’t love a good chocolate milk shake? I have the best recipe , and the best part, it’s healthy.
Most milkshakes are filled with sugar and preservatives of all sorts. Even though they may taste delicious, they aren’t that great for your body. If I am a lover of certain desserts, I am always on the lookout for a healthier version. This recipe is a hit in my house. It’s a vegan plant based milkshake, but you wouldn’t know it by the taste.
2 Tbsp powdered cacao
1 tbsp maca
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp sea salt
1 1/2 cup almond milk
1 Tbsp coconut nectar
Blend all this , and enjoy!
Optional: you can top your milkshake with whip cream .
