Skin Breakouts are the worse. They can ruin a good night out, and the fact that you are probably using some sort of skin care makes you think that maybe its just not working for you. Skin Breakouts can happen any time and for a variety of reasons. It can happen at any age, and sometimes breakouts can be due to eating foods that you may be allergic to, or e even using skincare that has some ingredients that your skin isn’t to fond of. Skin breakouts can also be due to hormones and that time of the month. I feel that what you put on the inside of your body also reflects on the outside. I see people who drink so much water and their skin glows. I’ve seen people that eat horrible, and their skin has flare-ups. It doesn’t hurt to add some amazing foods to your diet to help with those breakouts. Here are my top foods for helping with breakouts.
Salmon- Salmon is full of healthy fat, and omega 3’s. Its great for the skin, and studies show that healthy fats are good at helping give skin that glow.
Pumpkin- Did you know that pumpkin has amazing qualities for the skin? That is why we see so many pumpkin face masks, and pumpkin eye masks. They literally give skin so many vitamins.
Blueberries- Blueberries are loaded with antioxidants and are perfect for working from the inside. They are packed with Vitamin C, and helps with collagen production.
Guava and papaya- These exotic fruits are loaded with Vitamin C. Vitamin C is crucial for fighting and combating breakouts. The more you have, the better it becomes.
Do not worry about breakouts. You are probably experiencing the occasional breakout. If so, try adding more of these foods into your diet. If not, and its reoccurring, I would check in with a dermatologist to determine if maybe you have allergies.
April has rolled around again, and I have a few April beauty items on my list for this month. I love the BEST, and I find them by trial and error. I have my list of favorites, and these items I have heard so much about. I can’t wait to get to the store to get them.

I’ve read so much about this amazing highlighter, and how it stays on for hours. I do know by now that anything that Anastasia makes is the ultimate best. Highlighters can be tricky. I have used many that really do not give your face a natural look. It can seems like you have put too much on, or the ingredients aren’t that good. I’m really excited to try this one.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palette. ($42.00)
This eyeshadow palette is suppose to give your eyes such a shimmer, but with quality ingredients. I’ve read that you do not even need a eyeshadow primer before using it. The colors look gorgeous, and the perfect palette for Spring. It has a variety of golds and champagne colors that would fit all eye colors perfectly.
Sephora Collection Refresh and Prep Lip Scrubber ($8.00)
The price point on this is definitely on the more affordable side. The Lip scrubber is suppose to rid away all the dead skin cells on your lips, and give your pout a more vibrant feel and look. Applying lipstick on lips that have dead skin on them is a huge pas faux. It can make your lipstick look dry and chapped. We want our lipstick to go on nicely . It makes our lips look that much better. Cold weather can wreak havoc on our skin and most definitely on our lips. Hopefully It works well.
I wanted to share with you something that everyone ask me about.. my Fitness routine. I can’t tell you how many people ask me what I do to stay in shape, what classes I take, what I eat, and so forth. I’m here to share that with you. First off, I don’t feel 100 percent unless I move on a daily basis. It gets my heart going, me energy levels up, and I feel so much better all around. Now I do have days where I don’t feel like doing anything because my plate is full for the day. I just tell myself that I have to devote at least an hour to me everyday. I feel like once you find that balance, everything else falls into place.
I do love changing my Fitness routine up every now and then. I don’t know about you, but I get bored very easily with the same workout. I think I have done everything under the sun, and YES I do have my favorites. First thing in the morning, I always start my morning with a warm glass of lemon water. I feel this just gets everything going, especially my metabolism. It’s also great for de-toxing the liver. I will then make me something light. This usually involves a piece of avocado toast with a bit of crushed red pepper. YES! it’s delicious. I try to break up what I want to do every Sunday. I figure out what workouts I want to do ,and what areas I want to work. A typical week looks something like this:
Monday– I usually go to a HIIT class, or head straight to the gym for 30 min of cardio, and work my arms.( machine work)
Tuesday- This day usually involves a hot yoga class. Once I hit that class, I’m pretty beat. It is the BEST workout in the world.
Wednesday- I usually go to a Pilates class or head to the gym for cardio and work my legs( Machine work)
Thursday– This day again involves a hot yoga class.
Friday– I love heading to a spin class or kickboxing class. I then try to do a power walk ( if weather permits)
Saturday– I usually head to the gym early for cardio, or I do a Swork -IT workout at home. The best app for at home fitness.
Sunday– I never workout on Sundays. This is my day with the family and my day to pretty much eat and drink what I want. This is my no limits day. It usually involves some amazing dinner, or a great meal out.
If I’m on vacation, I always find the gym, or a yoga class that is close, or go for a run. I always try to find at least 1 hour to move.
No matter where you are or what you are doing, Fitness should always be fun. Find what you like and stick with it, or be like me and move around a bit. Either way, your health depends on it.

I wanted to share with you why I love Meal Prepping so much in my daily life. These days Life can be so chaotic. I don’t know about you, but it seems I have something going on almost every day. I find that when I’m busy, Meal Prepping can relieve so much time and stress finding something for lunches and dinners. we try to eat at home a lot. I find that not only is it healthier, but it’s such a great time for the family to share quality time together. We are all going separate directions much of the time, but the time we do have together, we value a lot. Meal Prepping in my mind is the key to sharing a quality meal together, and adding in nutritious food that the whole family can enjoy. Here are some great key ways of getting the most out of your planned meals.
MAKE LISTS AHEAD OF TIME
I always plan my grocery list for the week every Sunday night. If I know I’m going to be busy, I try to do it sometime that weekend. It just takes time out of the day you go to the store to make your list the same day. The key word is PLAN. Go through the recipes that you plan on making for that week and write down all of the ingredients that you need to buy at the store. it saves energy too .
TALK TO YOUR FAMILY
I always try to ask the kids what they would like to eat for the week. Snacks, lunches , ect. I try to buy the things on their list, and I also let them pick a night of picking out dinner. This could be a pizza night, or Pasta night. I then slot out a day to plan that meal. The rest of the nights I usually make a really healthy dinner. You always want to incorporate your kid’s opinions on dinner, or have them pick out something to make.
TRY TO BUY ORGANIC
I know many of you are saying Why? organic. It’s simply healthier. It lasts longer. There are no pesticides on the food. I know it can get expensive, but ultimately your feeding your family food of good value. When you buy your fruits and vegetables, make sure to get them home and wash everything really well. I usually soak my fruits for a while and give them a good rinse. If you can’t buy organic, try washing your fruits and vegetables as good as you can.
BUY CONTAINERS THAT ARE SAFE
You want to store your food in containers that are safe and non toxic. Some Plastic containers can leach unsafe chemicals into your food, and where do those chemicals end up? Your body! We do not want that. BPA containers have shown to increase cancer, reproductive problems, Endocrine disruption and possible Attention span problems. There is nothing good that comes out of using those horrible containers. Try using Pyrex glass containers or the Glasslock Oven Safe Set. It will only help your health.
Meal Prepping can save you time and money. When Meal prepping you don’t tend to overbuy anything. You are only buying the foods you need to make your weekly meals. How many of you have went to the store and ended up buying things that you had already? I’m guilty too. Meal Prepping is a huge investment in your life.
